Movable platforms can either be a serious burden or a real boon to any doodle jumper.
The beauty of the movable platform is that you can decide where you are headed next – at higher altitudes, these even give you a few moments to catch your breath! Here is a neat trick I taught myself to make these movable platforms work for me.

This trick works best at the screen shown – three moveable platforms, only one you’ll need right away.
Slide the platform in the middle to a jumpable height, and put your left thumb over the platform on the left of the screen. Slide the platform to the bottom left corner without lifting up your thumb. HOLD YOUR THUMB DOWN, and keep jumping. This platform will follow you until you move your thumb, or until you pick up a rocket.
This trick takes some practice to make it completely useful. It’s not easy playing with your thumb on the screen at first. However, if things get hairy at a higher altitude, always know you have that platform in the bottom left corner – if you start to fall, navigate your doodler to the bottom left corner and voila! You’ve saved yourself!
